Wildlife Excursions in the Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve
The Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve, known as the 'Water Tower of China', encompasses the headwaters of the Yangtze, Yellow, and Mekong Rivers. Home to a diverse wildlife including the endangered Tibetan antelope, visitors can embark on guided tours to witness the incredible biodiversity of the region. While there is no standard entrance fee, donations are welcomed, and guided tour prices vary.
Discover Jinyintan Prairie
A visit to the breathtaking Jinyintan Prairie offers an authentic nomadic lifestyle experience. You can explore on foot or horseback, with horse rentals costing around 50 RMB per hour. The prairie is also home to the annual Qinghai Lake International Road Cycling Race.
